Story

Hi there!

I am a PhD candidate doing research at the Children’s Cancer Institute (CCI), UNSW. I was born in Iran and when I was six years old, I lost my grandma because of ovarian cancer. That was the first incentive that triggered me to study cancer cells and since the very first semester at BSc studies, I have been curious about the inner life of cancer cells; how they survive and become malignant tumours?

During my MSc studies, I worked on neuroblastoma which is by far the most common cancer in infants. Here, in my PhD studies, I want to help patients in another way by running 5K for a cause that's close to my heart, raising funds for research into neuroblastoma childhood cancer. We are inches away from beating childhood cancer and this wouldn't be possible without your help, every single person counts! Therefore I truly appreciate it if you support my efforts by making a secure online donation and by posting a message of support.

Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly to the Run2Cure Neuroblastoma Australia Organisation.

Thanks so much for your support and please spread the word!

Neuroblastoma Australia

Neuroblastoma is a devasting childhood cancer with the average age of diagnosis being just two years old. With survival of rates for aggressive neuroblastoma at only 50%, this disease claims more lives of children under the age of five than any other cancer.

We don’t need a miracle; just more research.

Neuroblastoma Australia, is a registered charity founded by families with children affected by the disease and has raised over $1.7 million for research into a cure for this complex cancer which almost exclusively affects young children.

You can make a difference. Help raise funds for research into more effective and less toxic treatments for neuroblastoma today.
