The Ducks
Story
Welcome to The Ducks team fundraising page!
On the 4th of September, we are challenging ourselves to run a half marathon ( 21 km) in order to raise funds for Neuroblastoma Australia's annual fundraiser, Run2Cure.
Your donation to this fundraiser will support research into the most common type of childhood cancer, neuroblastoma. Children diagnosed with neuroblastoma are, on average, just two years of age. The research conducted by Neuroblastoma Australia is helping developing more effective, safer treatment of the cancer.
Any donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly to Run2Cure Neuroblastoma
If you would like to join our team, feel free to email either Caitlin or Rosie, and we can discuss! The distances you can choose to run are 1km, 3km, 5km, 10km, and 21km. You can join us on the day, or complete your distance on any day between the 1st-30th of September.
Thanks so much for your support!
Rosie and Caitlin :)
Waddling for a cure
Neuroblastoma Australia
Neuroblastoma is a devasting childhood cancer with the average age of diagnosis being just two years old. With survival of rates for aggressive neuroblastoma at only 50%, this disease claims more lives of children under the age of five than any other cancer.
We don’t need a miracle; just more research.
Neuroblastoma Australia, is a registered charity founded by families with children affected by the disease and has raised over $1.7 million for research into a cure for this complex cancer which almost exclusively affects young children.
You can make a difference. Help raise funds for research into more effective and less toxic treatments for neuroblastoma today.
