Ryleas Runners
Story
Hey FB friends!
As you all know, raising funds and awareness for childhood cancer is very important to me. After being thrust into the world of childhood cancer with our beautiful little Rylea’s 4 year battle with Neuroblastoma, it opened my eyes to just how little funding, research and awareness there is. Neuroblastoma was a disease I had never heard of. It is a disease I wish we never had to know about. The treatments for Neuroblastoma are harsh and scary and some very outdated. We need new trials and treatments for the sweet innocent children, like Rylea, who have to endure them. With fundraising and awareness more research can be done to hopefully, develop treatments that are both effective, lifesaving and suitable for little people.
I’m not much of a runner, that goes without saying hahaha.... But the battle my little girl fought, so hard, right to the very end of her life was far more uncomfortable and heroic than running 10km. We will proudly run on Sunday 12th of September in Rylea’s honour and memory.
So PLEASE- Help me and our team, Ryleas Runners, make the vital changes needed to stop this disease and save another family from having to pay the ultimate price, in losing their child to this insipid disease.
Donations made through this platform are secure and will be remitted directly through to my charity of choice.
Thanks so much for your support!
Neuroblastoma Australia
Neuroblastoma is a devasting childhood cancer with the average age of diagnosis being just two years old. With survival of rates for aggressive neuroblastoma at only 50%, this disease claims more lives of children under the age of five than any other cancer.
We don’t need a miracle; just more research.
Neuroblastoma Australia, is a registered charity founded by families with children affected by the disease and has raised over $1.7 million for research into a cure for this complex cancer which almost exclusively affects young children.
You can make a difference. Help raise funds for research into more effective and less toxic treatments for neuroblastoma today.
