Story
Hi there,
I’m making a difference and running for a cause that's close to my heart, raising funds for research into neuroblastoma childhood cancer, that my nephew Thanasi was born with, Stage 4. Three days old he started his first round of chemotherapy and endured the same pain and side effects of an adult. He underwent 4 rounds of chemotherapy by the time he was 3 months old. Although the treatment saved his life it also caused lifelong hearing loss. But Thanasi is a fighter and survivor and eventually went home to his beautiful parents Lisa and Jarrad.
Neuroblastoma is a rare and complex disease, only 40 children are diagnosed in Australia each year. Aggressive tumors has a survival rate of 50% that is 2 in 1 children never get to go home. But we are thankful, to God for helping Thanasi cause no child and parent needs to go through what Lisa and Jarrad endured as newborn parents.

Neuroblastoma Australia
Neuroblastoma is a devasting childhood cancer with the average age of diagnosis being just two years old. With survival of rates for aggressive neuroblastoma at only 50%, this disease claims more lives of children under the age of five than any other cancer.
We don’t need a miracle; just more research.
Neuroblastoma Australia, is a registered charity founded by families with children affected by the disease and has raised over $1.7 million for research into a cure for this complex cancer which almost exclusively affects young children.
